Improve Yourself First

Many people want things in the world to be different than they currently are.

You might be wishing things were different in your home life, your relationships, your work, your financial situation, your community, or in your church.

You might wish things were different in some of the clubs or leagues you or your kids are a part of.

Perhaps you wish things were different with politics, the main stream media, the drug addiction crisis, crime, gang violence, mass shootings, homelessness, terrorism, intolerance, bigotry, prejudice, attacks of religious freedoms, or poverty.

Maybe you wish things were different in various other countries and how things are in other parts of the world.

Tolstoy once said, “Everyone thinks of changing the world but no one thinks of changing himself”.

Gandhi said, “BE the change you wish to see”.

The most important relationship you have, is with yourself. If you improve that first, then your relationships with all other people and things will dramatically improve. Look within and improve yourself and how you love yourself first, and your relationship with money, your job or business, and your relationships with the rest of the world also improves.

Improve yourself first.

Work on loving yourself without criticism, judgment or condemnation. Look within first, rather than looking around you and condemning, criticizing and wanting everything to be different than it currently is. Stop looking around you and judging people and how things are.

Work on how you see yourself, your self image and your self esteem. Scripture says, “Why point out the splinter in your brother’s eye, when you have a log in your eye!”

One TRUTH is most people do not like themselves. This is reflected in the fact that most people cannot stand to be by themselves or be alone for even a few hours.

Most people need to be with other people or feel connected to other people all the time. Most people need to always be with others to hide from their own negative feelings about themselves. People (and maybe you are one of them) are simply unable to confront “themselves”. Thus the addiction to smart phones, social media, and being “connected” 24/7.

The other interesting thing to notice about people is they cannot be silent. People always need to be talking, or emailing, or texting, or reading, or surfing the net, or watching TV or listening to music or engaged in something to occupy their minds.

People come home and the first thing they do is turn on the TV even though they aren’t watching it. They just let it play in the background. Others turn on the radio immediately because they need to have some kind of ambient white noise going on all the time.

Few people can actually sit alone, totally by themselves and be silent for 20 minutes. It is torture!

Freedom and liberation is being able to sit, do nothing, think nothing, say nothing, listen to or watch nothing and simply BE, while you experience total bliss and ecstasy flowing like lava from within.

Having this love affair with your “SELF”, adoring your “SELF”, being comfortable and at ease with your “SELF”, and knowing who you really are, gives you power beyond your wildest imagination. Then you realize that everyone and everything is an extension of that same SELF that you are and that “All that Is” is simply another expression of the same ONE SELF that everyone IS. Having this awareness, this knowingness, this consciousness, and this experience is “enlightening” and will blow your mind.

Having this ability released will make you happy almost all the time, stress free, centered, fulfilled, satisfied, and content.

You will have power. You will be able to focus easily. You will able to get what you want in life faster and easier than before.

Improve yourself first.

Focus on making yourself the best you want to be. Love your SELF and all others in the same way. When you do, the WORLD around you will change!

I teach how to do this in The Science of Personal Mastery Course. To get information about the Course, go to and send an email to Support requesting information.

Love your SELF and the world will love you.

Much love,

Your Friend,

  1. I always wonder why people like noise that much. Now I know why. Thank you very much KT.

I also understand why I like silent that much. I was thinking there’s something wrong with me, now I know that no.

  2. The Solution is in oneself. As within, so without. Just read this nugget today for the second time. I love it. Thank you Kevin! Much Love!
